Lisbon

Built in the 16th century by the king Manuel I and located near the port of Lisbon, the Monastery of Jerónimos and the Belem Tower are architectural masterpieces that illustrate all of the history of Portuguese Conquests. They retrace the period in which the Portugal open new horizons by conquests, discovers, cultural development...

This Portuguese expansion starts symbolically in Belem, where the portuguese maritime fleet was located in the 16th century. This fleet was mainly composed by the caravel, the ship of discovery and great explorers.

Nowadays, the port disappeared, but the Monastery of Jerónimos and the Belem Tower allow us to commemorate and retrace the portuguese history.
